This policy explains how ImprovED collects, uses, and protects data within the platform.
We collect account information (email, role, login history), student profile data (full name, student ID, profile picture), and participation data (suggestions, votes, comments, and reports). System logs are used to ensure platform stability and security.
Data is used to operate ImprovED, enable review workflows, provide notification updates, and maintain accountability. Reports and moderation actions help keep the community safe and professional.
Data is stored in secure databases with access controls. Only authorized admins may access sensitive moderation information. We apply standard security practices to reduce unauthorized access.
Report export links expire after 15 minutes. Expired export files and tokens are automatically removed by scheduled cleanup, with up to a 24-hour grace window.
You can update your profile picture, adjust notification preferences, and download your personal data from the Settings page.
You may request a copy of your data, request corrections, or request deletion of your account data. For a personal export, use the Download My Data option in Settings. For other requests, contact the ImprovED team using the email listed below. Requests are reviewed in line with institutional policies.
